Democracy and Liberties Museum showcases the democratic battle this country has gone through from the Late Ottoman-Early Republic period until today. This period is expressed within a timeline through installation artworks and by using today’s technology.
On the ground floor of the museum, we are greeted first by the section explaining what democracy means to Turkey. On this floor, democratic breakthroughs and antidemocratic interventions in Turkey are reflected chronologically in a historical timeline.
On the upper floor of the museum, the journey of democracy to the present day is explained around the world.
